Three days in South Tyrol, flying by private jet straight into the old town of Bolzano.

The Embraer Phenom 100 takes you from Berlin/Schönhagen across the Alps to Bolzano in about an hour and a half. The Parkhotel Laurin has stood in the middle of the city since 1910 and is quiet all the same: an Art Nouveau house with its own park, a pool among old trees and the King Laurin frescoes in the bar. The arcades, the fruit market and the Ötzi museum are a few minutes away on foot. For height, take the Ritten cable car up to the sun plateau.

DAY 1

Flight to Bolzano

Departure by private jet (Embraer Phenom 100, 6 seats) from Berlin/Schönhagen (EDAZ), flight time around 1 hour 30 minutes. The last stretch crosses the Alps and drops into the Adige valley; landing fees at Bolzano are included. Transfer to the Parkhotel Laurin, 7.8 kilometres. The house sits quietly and yet in the centre, with the old town within walking distance. Dinner at the Restaurant Laurin, one of the best addresses in town.

DAY 2

Bolzano and around

After breakfast the day is yours. A stroll through the arcades and across the fruit market, a coffee on the piazza and time to watch the city go by. Or take the Ritten cable car up to the sun plateau, looking across to the Rosengarten and the Dolomites. For something more active, walk on from there.

DAY 3

Final day and return flight

The old town once more, a morning in the hotel park or by the pool. Transfer to Bolzano airport around midday or in the afternoon and return flight to Schönhagen, again about 1 hour 30 minutes. On request we extend the stay or fly you onward from here.

Setting

The house stands on Laurinstraße in the middle of Bolzano, on a quiet side and still central. The station is around 200 metres away, the arcades, the fruit market and the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology with Ötzi a few minutes on foot. The valley stations of the cable cars to Ritten and Jenesien are in town as well. Bolzano airport is 7.8 kilometres out.

History & architecture

Built in 1910 to designs by the Munich architects Alois and Gustav Ludwig, a hotel ever since and today a listed building. The interior mixes historicism and Art Nouveau: handmade furniture, original door handles, stucco and period colours. The Laurin Bar is famous for the frescoes Bruno Goldschmitt painted in 1911, telling the legend of the dwarf king Laurin; they were restored in the early 1990s. The hotel has its own park of mature trees, with the pool set among them.

Rooms & suites

Around 100 individually furnished rooms and suites are spread across twelve categories between 18 and 75 m². This trip is booked in the Laurin Suite of about 57 m², which with its own entrance feels more like a small apartment than a hotel room. Art hangs throughout the house, in the corridors as much as in the rooms.

Dining

The Restaurant Laurin occupies a room of palms, Art Nouveau furniture and contemporary art and holds two toques from Gault&Millau; the cooking is Mediterranean-Alpine. Alongside it is the Contanima restaurant. Evenings gather in the Laurin Bar beneath the frescoes, and in summer in the park. Breakfast is served as a buffet.

Park & pool

The hotel's park is unusually large for a city hotel and full of blossom in spring. Among the trees lies the redesigned pool with whirlpool stations, a lawn for sunbathing and a pavilion of pale timber. In summer food is served here too.

Around the hotel

Bolzano is best explored on foot: the arcades, Waltherplatz, the cathedral and the fruit market all sit close together. Half a day suits the Ritten cable car, a full day a drive into the Dolomites or out to the wine estates of the Adige valley. The hotel also holds regular jazz evenings.

PAYMENT & PROTECTION

How much is the deposit?

As a rule, the deposit is 20% of the trip price. For peak-season dates it may be higher; this will be stated in the respective offer. For non-refundable special-fare flight tickets, the deposit may also be higher, as the ticket must be paid in full immediately.

When is the balance due?

As a rule, 30 days before departure. We'll point out any deviations already at the time of booking.

How do I pay for my trip?

Payment is conveniently made by bank transfer.

Is my trip protected by a tour operator insolvency insurance (ATOL licence)?

Yes. As a German tour operator we are legally obliged to protect your trip with a tour operator insolvency insurance (ATOL licence). Fly Unique has a contract with the R+V Versicherung. You will receive your insurance certificate automatically with your booking confirmation.

Do you recommend a travel cancellation insurance?

We generally recommend travel cancellation insurance and are happy to advise you on suitable options.

Are rebookings or cancellations possible?

You'll receive your booking confirmation immediately after booking, and the complete travel documents no later than two weeks before departure.

I'd like to fly myself — what do I need?

Send us a copy of your pilot's license. We'll then support you with the license revalidation and inform you about all the documents required for it.

Which aircraft is right for my trip?

We're happy to advise you on the choice — whether for flying yourself, joining as a passenger, or a trip by private plane or private jet.

Do you assist with route planning and permits for pilot trips?

Yes, we're happy to handle route planning and support you with any permits that may be required.

I'm pregnant — can I still travel?

In principle, traveling is possible with an uncomplicated pregnancy up to week 34/35; the second trimester (weeks 14 to 28) is considered ideal. The exact rules vary by airline: many require a medical certificate of fitness to fly from week 28 onward, and most airlines decline to carry passengers from week 36 onward. Feel free to reach out — we'll check individually for your airline and route how your desired trip can be arranged.
