Courchevel weekend by private plane – ski-in/ski-out at Cheval Blanc

Three days in Les Trois Vallées, flying by private plane onto the altiport and into the Cheval Blanc.

A 3-day trip to France by Pilatus PC-12. Accommodation: Cheval Blanc Courchevel. From €4,389 (in a double room with breakfast, based on 6 people traveling on board).

The Pilatus PC-12 takes you from Berlin/Schönhagen to Courchevel in about an hour and a half. You land on Altiport 1850, one of the most spectacular runways in Europe: 537 metres short, built into the slope at a gradient of 18.5 per cent. From the airfield it is 2.9 kilometres to the Cheval Blanc in the Jardin Alpin, a Palace hotel of the LVMH group with just 36 rooms and suites. The piste begins at the door, and inside Yannick Alléno cooks at Le 1947.

THE HOUSES

Where you stay

The Cheval Blanc Courchevel in the snow-covered Jardin Alpin

Jardin Alpin, Courchevel 1850

Cheval Blanc Courchevel

Setting

The house sits in the Jardin Alpin, the quietest and most expensive quarter of Courchevel 1850, among snow-covered firs and yet right on the piste. Its ski-in/ski-out access leads straight into Les Trois Vallées, the largest linked ski area in the world. The Courchevel altiport is 2.9 kilometres away, around seven minutes by transfer.

The house & its design

Cheval Blanc Courchevel opened in 2006 as the first house of the brand and belongs to the LVMH group; today it holds the French Palace distinction. The interiors are by Sybille de Margerie: warm colours, leather, cashmere and a great deal of wood, with contemporary art throughout. From outside it stays a chalet, tucked in among the trees.

Rooms & suites

The house has just 36 rooms and suites, which keeps the atmosphere very private. All have generous living areas and a balcony or terrace of their own with mountain views. This trip is booked in the Superior double room; junior suites and suites are bookable for a supplement. For maximum privacy there is also a free-standing chalet and a top-floor apartment with its own lift.

Dining

Le 1947 à Cheval Blanc is the culinary flagship: French haute cuisine under Yannick Alléno, holding three Michelin stars. Le Triptyque is the contemporary brasserie for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Alongside them are Le Bar, with cocktails and live music in the evening, and the Cigar Lounge.

Spa & service

The Cheval Blanc Spa works exclusively with Guerlain and offers treatments, a large indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna and a fitness centre. Then there is the house's alpine service: ski boots warmed and waiting in the morning, equipment ready at the piste.

For trips with a scheduled flight, this is possible, usually for an additional charge, unless the airline already includes it.

How much luggage am I allowed to bring?

This varies by airline and fare. We'll let you know the exact free baggage allowance along with your trip offer.

We inform you immediately by email as soon as we're notified of a change.

PAYMENT & PROTECTION

How much is the deposit?

As a rule, the deposit is 20% of the trip price. For peak-season dates it may be higher; this will be stated in the respective offer. For non-refundable special-fare flight tickets, the deposit may also be higher, as the ticket must be paid in full immediately.

Can we bring our children?

We're happy to book child-friendly hotels suited to your trip with children.

I'm pregnant — can I still travel?

In principle, traveling is possible with an uncomplicated pregnancy up to week 34/35; the second trimester (weeks 14 to 28) is considered ideal. The exact rules vary by airline: many require a medical certificate of fitness to fly from week 28 onward, and most airlines decline to carry passengers from week 36 onward. Feel free to reach out — we'll check individually for your airline and route how your desired trip can be arranged.
